Turbo Tax Rocks

Easiest way ever to do your own taxes if they are not complicated.
What's great about it: We form filled and carried forward and even transferred from PC to Mac
What's not so great: Some carry forwards no longer exist and it seems impossible to get rid of jobs we no longer have.

One Problem This Year

I could not find anything on the Long Term Care deductions for the New York State return. I got pop up that said this information was not available at the state level. Bummer

possible "bug" in Turbo Tax Deluxe

if you enable a radio button and then figure out you should not have and go back to disable, the change is not recognized by Turbo Tax. This caused my federal to be rejected twice before I figured out what was going on. I had to delete the entire file and start over which was a bummer. This looks like a 'bug' to me. This should be addressed because when I looked on the internet, other folks had the same complaint/problem.

A good product tarnished

I was asked four times to purchase a state return for a state without state income taxes. Each time requireing four key clicks to get to of the trap. Then after showing I was extremely low risk for audit - kept suggesting I really should purchase their personal representation for being audited.
What's not so great: Constant pleas for upcharges
