Saw tons of feedback from others on the State returns debacle. I'll be using H&R Blocks product next year.
What's great about it: Previous year's data transfer
What's not so great: Complete confusion on state return on your part. Wouldn't let me proceed with State return

All the right questions

I've been using TurboTax for MANY years. I noticed this year that much of the information did not pull into the return from the previous year. I had to completely enter information that previously was already filled. However that may not be a big issue since I'm sure the software developers understand that many people won't verify that information is still correct which causes issues. Secondly, it would be nice if when you don't qualify for a deduction, like the medical deduction, that you have an option to opt out of printing, displaying, or sending the form associated with this.
What's great about it: Walks you through every step of your return. Easy for doing your own Itemized Deductions.
What's not so great: Sometimes it prints forms that are not needed. Like the Medical Deduction....didn't qualify, why print it and generate.

Years ago, my husband and I were having a conversation with our Tax Attorney. He stated that our taxes were not that complicated and for the past few years he'd been using Turbo Tax to file OUR TAXES. I said, " WHAT THE HECK!. Needless to say, that was the last year we used him and we've used Turbo Tax ever since.
What's great about it: Easy, Detailed, To the point.
What's not so great: Can't think of any!

Fed Electronic Filing

Each year I try to file the federal return electronically and each year it is rejected for the same reason ... saying the Payer's address state code and/or zip code are invalid or don't match (Form 1099-R). There is nothing wrong with any part of the address that I can see. Attempts to resubmit are rejected as well. I end up filing by mail every year.
What's great about it: Great idea.
What's not so great: Doesn't work.

The Good and the Bad.............

There STILL seems to be problems when TurboTax auto transfer's data over to the Iowa tax forms.. Mainly Filing Status, Should be same as Federal (Married filing jointly) but goes to -Married filing separately???? Also on IA-1040 line-32 and line-33, don't get the correct amount's.. These two have to be over-ridden, which is very confusing to do!!!..Same problems as LAST Year..??. HOPE You Can Fix it before next season..??..
The transferring to Arizona forms seem to work just fine..
I use TurboTax-Delux, and have been for over 10 years..
Would have given you 4.5-stars, if not for the above problem.....

Very quick and easy to use - I love the fact it imports all of years prior info and shortens the time it takes to complete.

I have been using TurboTax for 6 years now. I don't like to admit to it; but, I used another tax service for quite a bit more money each year before I switched. This has always been easy, and continues to get easier. Thanks Intuit!
What's great about it: Easy to use, self guiding, constantly updates itself when you log in.
What's not so great: Getting back to a form or page that needs updating.

THIS IS THE MOST USER FRIENDLY PROGRAM ON THE MARKET FOR LONG FORM FILING! I HAVE TRIED ALOT OF OTHER ONES BUT HAVE COME BACK TO STAY!!!!!!
