Quick and Mostly Painless

I've been using TurboTax for many years. It's easy to use and hunts down whatever deductions are possible in its' friendly interview process. I always find doing my income taxes to be a pain but at least with TurboTax I end up with my wits intact.
What's great about it: Fast and easy to use.

The program prepared my state taxes free, still extra cost to efile. Expensive program, not sure I'd purchase again.

Wonderful Experience

Doing my taxes this first time was a great experience. It was kind of difficult in some moments since I need to get to know better the software but it was really interesting to understand more how to do the taxes by myself.

A Terrific Product

I have been using TurboTax since its inception and it just keeps getting better. It makes completing my taxes easy and stress-free. There could be some improvement in the State application however. TurboTax "claimed" the return was complete without having included $800 worth of state tax credits. I had to go to "forms" and complete them manually after paying for the upgrade that was supposed to complete things automatically.
What's great about it: Easy, painless and automatic for the most part
What's not so great: Some problem with the State credits

ups and downs of turbo tax

Like many things abouit Turbo tax just wish it would say carried to additional lines and that turbo tax was not always trying to sell me additional stuff. Why not include it all in the product if it is so great.
What's great about it: easy to follow steps and tabs to locate in other manner
What's not so great: does not always carry the numbers to all forms so you to review
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Did what I needed

I had an easy return this year and Turbo Tax enabled me to do everything I needed to do, including e-filing, without lengthy explanations and quickly. I had a small payment due on the Federal return and the credit card I planned on using had been compromised so I had to wait until a new card was issued before paying, but Turbo Tax picked right back up where I left off when I was able to file and pay.
What's great about it: Easy to use, allowed computation and saved files until ready to file.
What's not so great: Some screens redundant after initial information on topic
