Excellent User Frendly Software

Product is dependable, accurate and user friendly. So times the HELP could be more exploained without additional time required to understand and answer question. Over All it a 5 ***** product I have used for over 10 years.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: some explanation not fully explained took additional investigation

Always has been easy

Have used Turbo-Tax for a number of years now. I have kind of a complicated return (due to investments) and have no idea about passive loss carry over, nor where the numbers come from.
What's great about it: No idea where numbers come from!
What's not so great: None come to mind.

Smooth Return Effort

I have been using Turbo Tax for so long now I do not remember when I started using it. What a great product! It makes filing taxes much easier because it eliminates the Tax technical jargon and asks you easy to understand questions.
The only issue I ran into was not a Turbo Tax issue it was a 1099-DIV issue. On my 1099-DIV form, boxes 1b and 2a showed zero but between them the unnumbered box displayed an asterisk and "Short Term Capital Gain" followed by $34.63. I did not know what to do with it. Would have been good to have a questions ask me if there was something in that box and then direct me as to what to do.
All in all, I love Turbo Tax, eliminates the pain of filing.

I have been using Turbo Tax for approximately 5 years now and each year it seems to be easier. Tax returns are never a relaxing experience, but it almost was. I just got my material together and answered the Turbo Tax questions and was confident that no mistakes would be made. Thanks to Turbox Tax, I don't dread filling out tax returns anymore. Thanks!
What's great about it: Felt confident all points were covered so I wouldn't leave anything out

whaz up with dependents?

My daughter was a dependent for 7 months while in college, went to work for 5 months an file her own return. I claimed her as a dependent and the IRS rejected the e-file. Seems like TT should have asked whether my dependent had filed her own taxes, etc. before getting to the rejection.
What's great about it: Federal taxes are too complicated but TT simplifies the code to the greatest possible extent.
What's not so great: Didn't ask me the question about my "dependent" filling separately and my e-file was rejected

while going over the medical deductions, I decided to look at the federal handbook. I found several deductions that the step-by-step didn't ask for.

Best Tax Software ever

Turbo Tax has been my tax software for many years, and has improved a lot over the years. Preparing my tax return is so easy and fast and I'm happy to say that I have never been audited in all my filings using the software, thanks to the audit feature. At one time I prepared my tax return on the last day and efiling help me file on time. The deduction finder is really helpful to increase your refund. Overall, I am satisfied with the software and I highly recommend it to those who prefer to do their returns themselves.
What's great about it: Fast, ease of use, efile, audit feature, great tips on deductions
