Good but always quirky

TurboTax has a nice step-by-step question and answer format that is easy to follow - the first time through. However, it is hard to go back to a specific spot without re-answering an entire section's questions (i.e. you need to enter the tax id for a child care provider because you couldn't locate it at the time you entered the amount paid or you need to enter a business expense but cannot see the entire section until you edit all the parts before the one you want) . It is also quirky in that every year there are fields in the forms that do not populate after you complete the step-by-step questions that show up in the error review. You have to manually populate them (i.e. % of income from Sched C line 7 that goes on form 8829). The quirks and frustrations of re-entering/answering questions will not stop me from using it as it seems to be reliable and accurate.
What's great about it: Reliable, Easy to follow

Easy solution to a complex situation

A complex return because of the plethora of medically related expenses so I was especially thankful for the logical, easy to understand presentation of income, deductions and expenses choices. TurboTax, in its usual expeditious manner, translated the complex into the simple by guiding me through the entire return.
What's great about it: Easy to use, thorough, efficient
What's not so great: Nothing not to like

Excellent program

A great program that has handled my taxes quickly and accurately for the past 10+ years. I have recommended it to all of my friends and family.
What's great about it: Haandles complex purchase and sale of investments, and realestate.
What's not so great: None that I have found

Turbo Tax Filing - 12 years and counting:)

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. I am a licenced CPA and use Turbo Tax for personal and family returns. The programs allows easy transfer of data from the prior returns and can import forms (i.e. W-2's and 1099-B's) efficiently.
I have tried other of the self programs, but nothing was better then Turbo Tax!
I would and have recommend Turbo Tax to friends and family.

What's not so great: The questions which lead the preparer are wordy, but it is good for a preparer that has no or limited tax knowledge.

This is a well written and easy tax program which enables anyone with basic reading skills to complete their own taxes. My 8 year old grandson could do taxes with this.
