Have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years and each year it gets better and easier to use. Thanks go out to the design team and also to the people who support the product on line.
What's great about it: Easy to follow through the forms and enter data.

Great Tool

Fantstic product! I've often thuoght about taking my info to a CPA/Tax Preparer and let them file our tax returns and every year I comeback to Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Liked everytihng about this product. This is our 10th return using Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is the Easiest Way to File Your Taxes

Using Turbo Tax could not have been any easier. Once I read the instructions and guidelines I began to file my return. I answered the questioins and filled in the blanks. If I had a question I reread the tips and contiued on with the review. Turbo Tax Is accurate and stand behind you should their be an audit. They do a review and check your math. It is so easy even I could do it and have for the past four years. When I am finished they checked my chance of being audited. It showed my chance of an audit was low. I will use Turbo Tax again next year.
What's great about it: Just Follow the Instructions and its a Breeze
What's not so great: Failing to Read Instructions is a Costily Mistake

Kinda fun to use

Have used Turbotax for many years and had no issues. Tried Taxcut once and it was a nightmare.
What's great about it: Ease of use, friendly interactive features
What's not so great: Have to reanswer some questions when reviewing a section.

Professional Appearance

Overall very satisfied, although our situation has changed somewhat and our returns starting with 2012 are less detailed and we are no longer receiving income that is also paid back using IRC 1341 refund tax credits for the previously taxed income. So, in the future we may not need the Deluxe version, but it has been very helpful. My former CPA/tax return preparer became unavailable due to his job situation causing him to be out of town often, but applying what I learned from him and using TurboTax, we were able to self prepare. And, based on my research, the IRC 1341 process was not understood by some "tax professionals". But, to actually save money, TurboTax is a very good option.
What's great about it: The ability to be asked questions so the correct information is available.
What's not so great: One small issue regarding "Forms", as I was unable to overide an entry on the payment voucher.

I use to do the manual way and mailed to IRS and State. The first time I did Turbo Tax was the tax year for 2005 I compared my manual with Turbo Tax. I found that I had miscalculated and I received a greater refund for using Turbo Tax. I have used Turbo Tax since tax year 2005. Turbo Tax guides you through every detail and helps you to find every deduction that pertains to you. I especially like the e-file and do not have to worry about printing and mailing to the IRS and State.
What's great about it: The explanations were easy to understand.
What's not so great: I may need a new computer. It took time to go from one screen to the next screen.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
