easy and fast

From past experience, turbo tax does not recognize going to college less than half time, for spring and fall semesters, and half time for summer sessions. I'm sure I missed deductions because of this in previous years. I graduated in Dec. 2012. You ask if I am a student. I was for this tax preparation, but I have graduated now. I am not sure if I will take another class in 2013 or not.
What's great about it: easy and fast
What's not so great: won't allow < half time for one school semester and half time for another

Been using turbo tax deluxe for years now...... pretty simple to use......felt it as a little more complicated with the PSA accounts new health insurance..
What's great about it: like the step by step process and analysis
What's not so great: thought the PSA section was difficult

Overall it makes doing my taxes as painless as possible. This years were more complicated than in the past because of medical expenses from a car accident, but this made it all pretty easy. It is annoying in that it has to review each section withing a category instead of doing that at the end of the category (such as each type of deduction, rather than at then end of all deductions) but for me at least, it's a minor annoyance.
What's great about it: Covered everything I needed, suggested things I didn't think of
What's not so great: tedious to see every single section reviewed and then have to click next

I wish I would have compared the refund with a tax service professional to reassure the greatest refund possible. I was not able to make use of the easy import feature for some odd reason.
What's great about it: Easy, Relatively Quick, Many Helpful Tools/Tips
What's not so great: No way to compare, Tedious, Smaller Refund,
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

User Friendly Tax Preparation

Turbo Tax is an effective useful tool to help you prepare your taxes usually in about 45 minutes or less. Turbo Tax provides all necessary documents to be printed and or saved and lets you know if updates are available for download instantly. Our family has been using Turbo Tax for over ten years without any issues. We'll be using this program from here on out.
What's great about it: Fast & Efficient Program
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I recommend this software to people that want to complete there own returns. Step by Step is great for people with limited tax return knowledge and not a sophisticated tax situation but the ability is there to enter data on your own for those with more tax return preparation experience.
What's great about it: Easy to understand directions. Great ability to switch between sections of the return and edit sections when necessary
What's not so great: Not really any cons for my needs of the software

One Minor Issue But Overall Good

Overall - easy to use; I like just answering the questions yes or no - and if no - the software brings you to the next relevant issue/question; ItsDeductible is great...I like how it automatically calculates your deductions...and it's fun to watch the return number go down on its own.
What's great about it: No calculating; no number mistakes
What's not so great: Tricky first few questions made it frustrating in the beginning
