Easy , Accurate and Affordable!

I feel Turbo Tax is more knowledgeable and up to date than any human being could possibly be. A person doesn't need to know a thing about the tax codes or which is the best method to file i.e. married filing jointly, etc or which deductions I qualify for or if I should take a standard deduction. Turbo Tax (by asking a few simple questions# figures it all out for me. It's atually fun #which tax filing usually is not). It costs a fraction of the fees an accountant charges. With Turbo Tax there can be no errors and it is guaranteed! I recommend it highly to everyone.
What's great about it: Tax updates are updated constantly, it is easy to use-just answer the questions, it is affordable. it is mistake proof.
What's not so great: There are NONE!

Best e-Filer out there.
What's great about it: Fairly simple to get around
What's not so great: TurboTax & IRS didn't agree with the Earned Income Tax Credit worksheet. Rather Confusing

Why I WON'T use Turbotax again.

As you can tell I am frustrated. I now have to get the forms that are usually printed my turbotax,
What's great about it: It is easy to use.
What's not so great: It will not print my return in text form. In pdf form it will not print my state or city like it usually does.

Downgrade from Last Year

1. My Sched K1 from my LLC has info in Part LLL lines 1 and 3. It has had this for several years. For some unknown reason, you want this information entered as two Sched K1 entries. Why?
2. When I wanted to xo my 2013 Estimated Tax, it took over 10 minutes to find the form. Your list of forms starts with 1040 as the main category and has no major category for 1040ES or for Estimated Tax. It is hidden as one of about 100 lines as Est Inc Tax.
3. In the process of finalizing and e-filing, the review says that everything is fine. But when trying to e-file, it does not like Sched A line 28. I entered the deductible amount of $16.00 for Coast Guard Auxiliary uniforms, a permitted deduction. I removed it. That changed 1040 lines 40 and 43, but not line 44 (tax). Why did all the reviews miss this?
4. At the end, it asks if I want to print the forms. But the next screen only offers Save as PDF, Print Review, or Cancel. Why won't it print it directly. It is ridiculous to save as a pdf, then go to the saved location, open the pad file with a pdf reader, and then print.
5. I wanted to save the page that had the information about e-filing the tax form. But Flie/Save as just bounces back to the page about printing. It should save the page itself. (Every other program I have encountered does this.)
In summary, you have not made TurboTax easier this year, you have made it more difficult.
NOTE: When I tried to send this review, it asked for a star rating. My rating is zero stars, so how do I enter this? I had to select one start just to get this send.

The Way to Do Your Taxes
on April 11, 2013

I have used TurboTax for years and will continue as long as you keep producing this kind of a product. With all of the paperwork at hand, the process is quick.
What's great about it: Easy, quick, to the point.
What's not so great: No negatives on my part to report.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Smooth and Easy Process. Stress Free.

Working up my return was smooth and easy. Liked the friendly prompts that were mostly quite helpful. The Deluxe version is well worth the cost. The only issue I encountered was how to enter misc income on the 1040 that was not from a 1099 MISC. I simply entered it manually and completed my return. Overall the software was excellent.
What's great about it: Easy to use and friendly. Covers the basics very well.
What's not so great: Need to allow for misc income not from 1099-MISC.
