Turbo Tax

Program was easy to use. I have used before. The information from last year merged into this year. I feel it
gave me the maximum deductions. It made me feel confident that i had filled everything out correctly. Good investment.

What's great about it: you do have to pay for state to be sent
What's not so great: Simple , easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Really easy to use.
When editing data, the change in location of the CONTINUE button is annoying when you move several steps forward and have to continuously move the mouse.
What's great about it: Remembers all of last year's info
What's not so great: Sometimes BACK takes you to the previous screen, sometimes you go farther back

Easier each year

Just checked my records..to the best of my ability I have been using Turbo Tax since 1999 (I still have all of the CDs). As I got older my tax became more complicated but Turbo Tax grew too. It takes me less tha 1 day to do my taxes; I usually wait a few weeks to make sure there are no updates or corrected Tax forms before I submit my taxes. I am an automatic update customer..one less thing to worry about.
What's great about it: gets easier to use each year; love the Financial downloads!
What's not so great: sometimes the instructions are a little vague...have to reread to understand

Turbo tax is an excellent program for anyone who wants to avoid the nitty-gritty of federal filing forms using plain-language software.
There were only two gripes I've found with it: It could use better explanations for some of the finer points of deductions. For example their definition of "Cost Basis" in the theft and casualties section leaves much to be desired, and is not typical of most real-world scenarios. A better explanation would be, say, the cost of roof damage from a fallen tree. Or individual items stolen during a break-in.
Which leads me to the second issue: The "community" help section leads a lot to be desired. Most questions never receive a timely answer, and finding an answer that applies to your question can be like an needle in a haystack. This wiki format doesn't work very well except for the most basic questions.
What's great about it: General ease of use
What's not so great: Lackluster explanations of some charges, poor community support

Excellent Product

This year my tax situation changed a lot. It was very easy to walk through process of filling of forms. Return calculated was correct. Only care you have to take is to select right product for your situation. Technology has advanced for good of humanity and TurboTax is one example of it. Keep up the good work.
What's great about it: Ease of walking through process of forms.
What's not so great: Almost none
Pros: I bought or sold investments
