I have used Turbo Tax since 2000. This was the most confusing and difficult to use edition that I have ever used. I had to review several time to find how to enter things, especially my HSA contributions.
Even this survey was dificult to use.
Please make next years edition more user friendly.

Turbo Tax Experience 2013

We have used Turbo Tax for the last 20 years or more and are always satisfied with the product. It provides a very disciplined method of going through all areas, asking the right questions and providing additional information on items that are not familiar to the user. With the complicated tax code we have, it is impossible for any individual to know the details well enough to take advantage of all deductions available to us.
Perhaps some day the do nothing administration and elected officials will simplify the tax code, but until then, Turbo Tax provides an excellent method of doing your own taxes and avoiding the trips away from home and sharing very personal information with some else.
One item that would be beneficial would be an addition to the program to help estimate the tax picture for the next year based on what we know now. I tried to fool the program last year to do that, but it didn't work out well. We still owed too much in federal taxes.
What's great about it: Detailed path through the program and process
What's not so great: It does take significant time to gather the information and enter it.

disappointed this year in the issue with state return not starting, if you are aware of it post it with the updates, don't make us spend a lot of time troubleshooting.
What's great about it: very detailed
What's not so great: state app would not start

Pretty easy to use

I love Turbo Tax and am paying it forward so that my children will be using it too, for a very long time.
What's great about it: Fast and helps me through tough questions
What's not so great: Quit out on me and wouldn't let me file without updating three times
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Blast High Tax Prep Charges

I did my own Tax Prep for many years along with my Parents. I even made use of the IRS offices to assist if needed. When I purchased my Home I then went on to use a Tax Prep Accountant and/or Tax Prep Co... at first the Charges were reasonable but then the $$$$$$$ went through the roof. My Sister recommended Turbo Tax...I gave it a try 4 years ago and have never regretted the decision.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow. Helpful Guides. Questions Quickly Answered
