love this software. have used it forever. has found errors and was able to correct previous year's overpayment. don't like when there is an error and not able to locate. if there is an error, it would be great if the software would send you to the error to correct.
What's great about it: easy to get through
What's not so great: doesn't show what page the error is at.

TurboTax saves the day again!

Now I've finished my fathers, who is retired, on SS and Disability, and my grandmothers, who lives in a nursing home but still owns her own home. Tricky Tricky! Thanks TurboTax!!
What's great about it: Much easier to reference current tax laws and information. Same easy to use program that literally guides you thru steps
What's not so great: No Cons

I have used Turbo Tax the past several years. It is easy to use, don't have to worry about making a mistake in the math. Wonderful product to use and sooo user friendly

Turbocharged my tax prep

TurboTax is extremely easy to use, and it performs as advertised. The program walks you through the process just as a professional would. The questions are straight-forward, and there are lots of prompts to click for more detailed explanations. First-time users will be amazed by the simplicity. Experienced users will appreciate the thoroughness. Much of your information is surprisingly imported upon first use. Your details are then saved for future filings, making it even easier next year. Once you use TurboTax, you'll be wondering why you paid someone else so much money to prepare your taxes.
What's great about it: Very user-friendly and intuitive. Easy to navigate back and forth to double-check your work.
What's not so great: None

KISS (Keep It Simple S...)

Turbo Tax is still the easiest way to do your own taxes but they will price themselves out of the "simple return" market before long. They go up every year and give you less. (State tax E- filing should be free!! for 1 state at least). Also this new review process is too fancy. If there is an error just put me back on the page I made the error on and highlight the error. I don't like that small review screen. One of the good points is to have a uniform interface. We have filled out the entire form using that original interface why change it for the review?
I like very much the ability to pull most of the info from last years filling or the web. In my opinion most of the Turbo Tax users (including myself) could do their own taxes but just don't want to. The reason for paying for Turbo is ease and convenience.
All and all still good but "moving away from the light".
What's great about it: For the most part easy
What's not so great: Tried to get too "elegant" with reviews
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
