Painless Tax Time

I thought I had all my information, realized I forgot to pull some info. It was really easy to go back and plug in the information later, didn't have to stop, could just keep working on the information I did have.
Once I had all my back-up ready, everything went really fast. It was too easy, I had to double check everything twice and ran the check twice, because it worried me it went so easy.

What's great about it: Waked me through the forms and I could go back to areas later after I found what I needed

Keeping it Simple!

I have recently had to start itemizing my tax return as I became an independent contractor. As an artist, I truly have a hard time understanding everything the IRS requires for us both to get and give what we deserve. Turbo Tax breaks things down and makes it very simple for me to walk through all of the steps I need to file my taxes. I really appreciate that each page is kept very simple, but I can click on a link for a broader explanation of anything. The running calculator also makes it kind of fun, almost like a video game, so thanks for that!
What's great about it: It has continually gotten easier to use each year.
What's not so great: I had to repeatedly enter some information for the same house in different headings.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Well Worth It

Using TurboTax puts my mind at ease because I know my tax return is correct. Provides information in an understandable format with links to IRS publications. There are multiple options to choose from to get answers to your questions. Thank you for a great product.
What's great about it: Well organized and easy to use.

TurobBlasted me into tax refund Nirvana!

Turbotax is worth it's weight in gold!
By copying previous years' information it makes subsequent years filings a snap!
Having integration with outside agencies like banks, employers and other companies makes importing data as easy as a click of the mouse.
I would recommend this to anyone that knows how to use a simple computer application--oh yeah--That means EVERYONE these days!!!!!

Easy Student filing

Filed all family taxes in a day. The only room for improvement is that it is a little difficult to figure out how to print returns (especially state returns) if you don't efile. Otherwise, we are 15+year users of TT and LOVE IT!!
What's great about it: Filed a student tax return in 10 minutes
What's not so great: None to speak of.

Easier to do my own taxes than I thought

I've been having someone else do my taxes for years, not because they were doing such a great job, but because it felt like a lot of trouble to switch. I think it would have been, really, except that I keep very good records. We've had a couple of refi's in the last few years, and I was glad I had that paperwork organized.
What's great about it: steps broken down very well, understandable
What's not so great: confusing process for claiming unamortized points after refinancing

SO easy!

Turbo Tax walks you through each step of the process and evaluates your information to recommend the options that are to your greatest tax advantage. The deduction calculator for charitable contributions rocks, and I love that it saves my information from year to year and automatically fills it in, only requiring me to review it to make any necesssary changes from the previous year.
What's great about it: Walks you through every step!

Deluxe edition is good but not as simple as 2011

This is my 8th year and I normally love this product.
Unfortunately the generalized HSA and HDHP questions are too vague and can cause you to lose a deduction very easily.
The wording of the questions needs a complete rewrite. Also an example of the most common scenario would be helpful.
What's great about it: Most is simple to follow
What's not so great: HSA and HDHP questions are extremely confusing
Pros: I bought or sold investments
