Although the program was easy to use... I wasn't positive I got the best refund possible. It almost seemed too simple compared to years past.

Oh, what a relief it is!

I am as far from having accounting skills as a person can get, but I can follow step-by-step instructions that are seriously thorough with the best of them. Never thought filing a tax return could be fun.
What's great about it: TurboTax version of "Tax Returns for Dummies"
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

TurboTax really makes it possible for the average joe to do their own refunds without paying a hefty fee. I would recommend this to anyone.
What's great about it: Fast, efficient, great value.
What's not so great: None that I can think of
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Back for another year

This is my 12th year using Turbo Tax. I help each of my family members with their taxes and have always had good results.
What's great about it: Is easy to use with quick links to IRS regs. Makes doing taxes easy.
What's not so great: Can be hard to get to some special forms like small home business.

- Should open the next checklist area automatically with option to skip.
- Software this mature shouldn't need to be helped along by the user (I.E.: If I have updated in the current session, the program should track that rather than make me double check for updates again.).
