Easy, Breezy, Beautiful

TurboTax makes you want to do your taxes. It is convenient and trouble-free. Anyone can do it if they are able to follow simple directions. Highly recommend this program.
What's great about it: Simplest way to do your taxes
What's not so great: Its very detailed, but that can be looked at as a pro as well
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall I find the TurboTax software to the very easy to follow and make you entry in the correct area with is a plus especially to a new customer trying the softeware for the first time,
What's great about it: the lay out of the entry screens
What's not so great: I guess the strings of informaiton after each completed area

Painless Taxes

My family has been using TurboTax for years. After going through the prompts, it' s so easy to edit by going to the "explore on my own" and see the snapshot of the net amount change.
I would prefer to find a way to print supporting details entered on a particular form without printing the volumes of paper for full return with all details and forms.

Overall, a painless, streamlined way to pay taxes! Why would anyone hire an accountant?

I love Turbo Tax!

I am a 10 year user and would never use any other product. Me and my family thank you for an affordable way to insure that we keep as much money as we can in our pockets.

1040 EZ Return for son

The process is straightforward and I was confidant nothing was omitted. However for a simple return it is slow to go through the 10 areas of deductions if they do not apply. Also showing me pictures of CPAs while reviewing the return was a bit over the top. I do recommend TurboTax to use.
What's great about it: Software is comprehensive and I am confidant nothing was overlooked.
What's not so great: For a simple return it is slow to pass on all the deductions. Also a little too much marketing kind of stuff.

You can't go wrong

Filing my own taxes was the last thing on my mind until a friend recommended TurboTax 5 years ago. You don't have to be an expert to file taxes if you have the companion of Turbo Tax. There are simple step by step instructions and if you don't understand something, help is only a click away. ....and the help? It's self explanatory. If you have errors, you don't have to worry because the errors are pointed out with an explanation and ways to correct it. "You can't go wrong"!! I like how it connects to the IRS page if needed. Great, great software. Can't file my taxes no other way.
What's great about it: EVERY thing is covered with this software
What's not so great: I wish the live chat was included with the software without the extra cost.

Remembers things from past years

My biggest benefit of using Turbotax is that I don't have to remember what was done in my previous years. I have a complex return with several K1s, many 1099s, installment sales etc, and all that data is remembered by Turbotax. It even remembers the charitable contributions I made in the past and at times I have forgotten that I contributed to a certain charity but Turbotax jogs my memory. No wonder I have been using Turbotax now for almost 15 years!
What's great about it: Easy to use, keeps track of carry overs from previuos years
What's not so great: none
Pros: I bought or sold investments
