Turbodacious Return!

The 2012 Turbo Tax was a great purchase and maximized my return! One feature that was magnificant was the overall user friendly screens which made it fast and simple to complete my Federal taxes without having to worry about making mistakes when performing calculations.
What's great about it: The walk though step by step feature made it quick and simple when filing my return this year.

I have used TurboTax for about 8 years and I will not do it another way unless I have to.
What's great about it: well organized and easy to follow
What's not so great: small bugs. never reconizes the zip of one of my charities

Love Turbo Tax

I've been using TurboTax for the last five years. Every year is the same, easy and quick without any hassle. Plus I don't have to pay someone else a outrageous amount of money to file my taxes. Love using TurboTax, makes doing my taxes a breeze. And if I ever have questions, they're right there to help or explain items that I may have questions on. I'll continue using TurboTaxes for the next 50 years. Satisfied customer.

Use Turbo Tax every year

I use TurboTax every year to do my taxes. I know there are free versions, but I buy Deluxe with the free state. It transfers everything from the previous year. It asks you questions in the right order to make sure you are doing everything right. I electronically filed Federal and NY State for free. Couldn't be happier.
What's great about it: Great program. Easy to use. Transfers all information from previous year.
What's not so great: None - very happy with it

Turbo Tax 2012

Turbo Tax 2012 took me through the steps in a helpful and productive way. It was easy to get around the return while working in Turbo Tax. If you needed to review or retrun to a differnt section Turbo Tax makes it easy. You will know your retrun is done right and that the numbers add up.
Only improvement would be to provide even more explination and definitions throughout the process.

Steps forward to take Step Backwards

I have and will continue to use Turbo Tax. I believe they have the customer's best interest and always looking to improve.
Everywhere you go you see markers giving you some guidence... I used those pop-ups a lot especially with the government wording I may not know.
But just like any program there is room for improvement. Navigation is always a program's biggest challenge, I felt the navigation to get to a particular page/ area could be improved upon. How? Great question. I don't know.
I came across a 50 errors on a dependent and non dependent worksheet. I was clueless what to do, so I just clicked next next next, hoping it would realize I have no dependents. I went through the community and found the answer there, but was unclear if accurate information since it relies on generic helpful or not. While some complained it was worse for them. Can the TT give stamp of approvals for those certified cures?
Overall, despite the minor hiccups on such a complex (topic- TAXES) the program works wonders. Only if they can work wonders on a Federal Tax reform that may be less mind boggling.

Easy tax preparation

It helps that I have been using Turbo Tax for years, so they can transfer data from my previous years to save time and confusion...
What's great about it: Very well organized
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
