Gets easier every time

I've used TurboTax every year for at least the past 12 years and it gets more thorough each year without getting more complicated. I have a friend who prepares taxes for paying clients and the TurboTax program I used is every bit as detail oriented as the professional program they purchase for hundreds of dollars each year.
I really like the step by step guidance and instructions along with the ease of printing and/or saving files right to my computer for future use.

I have always used TurboTax and this is the first time it has missed something. I moved to IL on 2011. Property taxes are paid in arrears so my property tax paid in 2012 was for 2011. Since I was a partial year resident in 2011, I have to prorate the deduction for IL. TurboTax skipped that detail as it saw me as a full time resident in IL.

I have been using TurboTax for 12 years and wouldn't consider using any other software.

I missed the reminders that were given in past years, ie - last year you had a deduction from Catholic Charities , or you had income from whomever. wish it was included in the current version.
What's great about it: I like the way you pick up my errors and omissions.
What's not so great: The combination of my and my wifes information on the same sheets was different from previous years

Saved money by doing the tax by myself!!

It automatically rolled over the info from last year, no need to enter all same info again. Saved lot of time! You only need to answer the questions, very simple and user friendly!
