Minimized my payment

I hate that I had to pay taxes this year, but I knew it was coming. I still feel like Turbo tax helped minimize the amount I owed and the ease of directly withdrawing my federal payment and depositing my state refund made the payment not hurt so much.
What's great about it: So easy, love the extra detail
What's not so great: I had to pay, but I knew that was coming
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years. When I married my husband and he retired to work on the ranch I was worried about getting everything right. I did our taxes in TurboTax and compared to the results of his accountant. The results were exactly the same. So I continue doing taxes with TurboTax.TurboTax makes it so easy. At one time we sold a some stocks to buy more land. And still TurboTax made it easy. I don't know how I managed before.
What's great about it: Easy to use and can handle a farm or small business.

The Good & the Bad

I like how easy it is to go through the interview questions and enter information. I was able to find the answer to a problem I was having on the TT website.
I had difficulties with the HSA (form 8889) section. I was getting strange results & had difficulty getting to the interview questions. It would be nice to jump back to the HSA worksheet from the forms view with a link.
What's great about it: Interview questions + TT website Q&A
What's not so great: Not always easy to find where schedules can be modified.

Problems_With_Corrections

I thought turbo tax was a good program. I do like the face-to-face with a professional, but turbo tax was a great alternative. The interface is user friendly and sleek, and some of the explanations are great. It was cheaper, and simple.
I do not like that, you have to exit out to fix inputted data. If you could click to fix things it would be great. Tabs at the top, for state returns would be great, as there are for Federal.
I had a problem with correcting my deduction for rent, and i had to exist the program completely to fix the problem. Luckily you save your federal return...
Overall good program, but if you have multiple income sources- that are not w2, you may want a professional.
What's great about it: Quick and Sleek format- Easy calculations
What's not so great: If you click on a check mark, and need to unclick it- the back button does not take you where you need to go.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbotax continues to improve. I would like to see the reasons for a question stated underneath the questions that are asked.
What's great about it: Automatic loading of last year's data and contribution calculator.
What's not so great: Don't like the adds thrown up in key locations like just prior to filing etc.
