TurboTax is very user friendly and takes a step by step approach to filing a return. I've used it three years in a row and have been satisfied every time. I would buy the software again for 2013 taxes. It's comforting to have the TurboTax user community available for help.
What's great about it: Imports necessary information from the previous year; very user friendly; file with confidence!
What's not so great: Those filing for the very first time will simply input number and information, but will possibly lack tax knowledge

Thorough but easy to use

Have used Turbo Tax for more years than I can remember. Always easy to use and the year-to-year transfer of information makes it worth it alone. Integration with the state tax return is terrific!
What's great about it: Very thorough - covers everything you could possibly need
What's not so great: None that I know of

Quick and Easy

Turbo Tax simplifies my tax return preparation and allows me to complete all of my returns when I return from my 3 month winter vacation in Florida in early April. I still can get the returns completed and filed before the 15th.
What's great about it: I can do my taxes in two days, used to take me two weeks
What's not so great: Occasionally won't allow me to delete an item from a prior year that is no longer applicable

Thank you Turbo-Tax! About 10 years ago, I graduated with an Accounting degree and until 4 years ago used to do my taxes long-hand with a pencil, calculator, and the Instruction booklet. Finally I decided to give Turbo-Tax a try so I wouldn't have to manually do my taxes several ways to determine how best to use my wife's education credit, etc. I am so glad I did. Turbo-Tax has saved me so much time and likely money. It makes it so easy to e-file and get your return quickly.

What's not so great: Needs to be easier to skip sections that don't apply to you

Easy but Clunky

I have used Turbo Tax online version for several years. This was my first year to buy the actual software. I like much of this version, although I did feel that Turbo tax had a couple of unnecessary advertisements in the program. I love that it keeps your information from year to year. I love that it calculates both options and then tells you which one will save you the most money. I dislike that there is a 2-3% charge to put what you owe on the credit card. I would have liked to have seen an explanation of why that was costly and yet other methods of payment were free. Overall, I'm very pleased with Turbo Tax software and will definitely use it again.
What's great about it: Thorough -- easy to follow -- easy to understand
What's not so great: clunkiness in the actual e-filing process -- credit card charge is exorbitant

The sections, Income and Expense, are detailed with information to assist in every situation I've encountered. I have used Turbo Tax since it came out, and I've always been satisfied with the results.
What's great about it: Ease, Cost.
What's not so great: NONE
