Did it while my husband watched baseball

Loved that last year's info was automatically downloaded. Just had trouble with dividing children's daycare expenses since we only had one total on the form. Mortgage insurance wasn't in box 7 so we almost missed it and had to go look it up.
What's great about it: easy, quick, inexpensive
What's not so great: frustrating finding all the paperwork

Easier to Check Forms

The initial data entry is easy if you let the program as you all the required questions. However, if you have to go back and change information or review your entries, it can be a little confusing. I have used Turbo Tax for several years and in this version it is very easy to doublecheck the forms to make sure everything was entered correctly. It used to be harder to switch between the step-by-step guide and the forms--it is easy now. The state data entry is also better now.
What's great about it: Easy Data Entry
What's not so great: Can be confusing to go back and update info

Great Direction

This is my 2nd time to use Turbo Tax and I find that it is a great tool for the "non" tax expert! Very helpful and provides a sense of confidence that all of the bases are covered.
What's great about it: Great direction with all of the tax comlexities
What's not so great: Non to speak of.....

Keeping it Straight

Retrieving personal information from prior Turbo Tax years is a real time saving and accuracy benefit. I had forgotten abou the the Federal PINS for electronic filing. I would have had to take the time to find them but Turbo Tax had retrieved that from last years form.
My tax form actually was simplier and I could have completed the full form in on a very short time if I had wanted to but I usually print the result and look over and think about it.
Like the PDF "save" and print formates.
What's great about it: Stepping through process, automated comparison with standard deduction
What's not so great: was not sure how to enter safe deposit box charge (found it but had to dig)

Reliable & Dependable

Having multiple opportunities to compare to previous years data allows me to more easily understand how and what changes have occured. This allows me to easily know the impact to my current tax situation and tax liability. Whether I'm getting a refund or tax due I know why!
I prefer to review my return multiple times and go thru the interview process a 2nd or 3rd time. It sometimes triggers something I forgot the first time. In some areas I have to re-answer the same question again since it doesn't remember my previous answer. Seems like it should especially if I haven't changed anything up to that point from my previous pass.
This is the first year when asked at the end if I wanted to preview my return before filing I didn't - just filed it! If you checked and doubled checked what you've entered multiple times why review the forms one more time?
What's great about it: Information carryover from previous year.
What's not so great: Having to re-answer some questions I already responded to.
