Much Needed Helping Hand

Family status changed this year and had to walk through process alone. Didn't feel that way with Turbo-Tax. Took away the fear of the process and helped me and my sons make the most of a difficult year. Thank you!

EASIEST VERSION EVER

this was the best version of Turbo Tax I have used so far, much easier than previous times I have used the software.
GREAT JOB WITH THIS VERSION
What's great about it: if you have deductions, Turbo Tax walks you through step by step.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Too Complicated!!!

Useful for complicated returns but too complicated for simple returns, like when 1040EZ form is needed.

I finished my return fairly painlessly. Easy to see any mistakes, easily corrected!
What's great about it: self-explanatory.
What's not so great: considering the subject matter not any cons
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

OK but takes work

I've been using this for many years, will probably keep using it until I can afford an accountant....
What's great about it: walk through is easy
What's not so great: hard to find / return to calculation worksheets if you find out you've made an error.

Stop being afraid of doing your taxes!

The tax instructions just keep getting worse every year. It's like they were deliberately written to confuse us. TurboTax steps you through all the areas to see what's relevant to you, compares your entries to last year (so you don't forget things to enter), and best of all, it prevents simple math errors that can get your return rejected. No worries about getting that dreaded letter in the mail from the IRS, asking for corrections!
What's great about it: Steps you through gently, compares to last year, and catches errors!
What's not so great: None!
