Quick and easy

its not hard to do basic taxes on turbo tax but it is confusing on what some of this stuff is.

This software does what it should for a reasonable price, with the exception of attempting to charge $19.99 for state efile after you've already purchased the software.
What's great about it: Intuitive navigation and data entry.
What's not so great: You have to pay an extra $19.99 for state efile!

TURBO TAX for PROCRASTINATORS

My accountant retired. I work 40-50 hrs/week, mother of 2 kids and wife of a busy husband. Taxes are due by april 15..It's April 10th... It was easy and every page had an explanation of the most frequently asked questions about the topics.....

A very comfortable way to file your taxes. Always asking questions inline with the new tax codes. If you do your own taxes its well worth the cost.

Easy Peasy

I've used TurboTax for years and years - it seems that it gets easier and simpler to use each year. It's more difficult collecting my data to enter, than it is to complete my tax return. I appreciate the ease with which to find specific forms and make the necessary changes when needed. The Easyguide is fantastic - I like the step-by-step approach which fits my methodology for most matters, including assembling my mountain bike to prepping for a 40 mile backpacking trip in Paria Canyon. My only quibble is the charge for e-filing state taxes - if it cannot be free as the fed is, then at least, in my view, make the price reasonable! Since my state provides free filing on-line, I merely figure my state taxes using TT and then transfer the data to the state's on-line form, so I do work around it. Still, you won't see me switching to any competitor - too many things to like with TT!!

Love the Ease

I have been a professional tax preparer for two years, and passed the RTRP exam last year. i have used Turbo Tax for well over 12 years. My reasons for choosing Turbo Tax over my employers programs is the fact that if i should have to recreate my returns i need only reach into my file cabinet and i am back in business. My employers mostly saved my returns in paper format. which was / is not to my liking. i might add that Turbo Tax is more intuitive than the software I worked with last year. Making it much easier to prepare my own taxes.
What's great about it: The easy fliw of the progam.
What's not so great: I can't think of any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
