Easy

Had always used a CPA. I saved $600 and now I know more about the tax laws

I talked to a guy at Turbo Tax who was well informed and helped me with my issue in under 45 minutes! That is one of the best things when dealing with people over the phone. And doing my taxes only took about an hour!
What's great about it: Easy to use and user friendly
What's not so great: Took a while to find where to contact help via phone line

Chat support was understanding and walked me through troubleshooting an error in my return... worth trying!
What's great about it: chat support walked me through the whole thing!!!
What's not so great: long line to get to a representative

HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR SEVERAL YEARS, AND WILL CONTINUE TO USE IT.
What's great about it: EASY TI USE WALK THROUGH INSTRUCTIONS
What's not so great: LOT OF REDUDNDANCY IN DOUBLE TRIPLE CHECKS

Not as good as past years

Interview process is still the best but this year's edition wasn't as good for clear interview questions. It doesn't update each time you open the program so when we began to file it wouldn't allow until a manual update was completed. No direct link to IRS instructions if there is a question arising from an IRS form.
What's great about it: Continues a fairly decent interview system
What's not so great: Doesn't update every time you open the program; help not very helpful; some questions not clear

Slight problem

TurboTax has always been easy to use--I've been using it for over 10 years. The program is accurate, usually, and asks all the right questions. There seems to be a slight problem in the Estimated Tax Worksheet for North Carolina this year. The program does not figure in the Standard or Itemized Deductions allowed by the State. Nor does the TurboTax worksheet have an entry for the Personal Exemption allowed by the State. The Estimated Taxes due for 2013 is therefore incorrect when compared to the actual Estimated Tax Worksheet provided by the State. This is a minor problem however. Even with this error, I will continue to use TurboTax each year.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: NC State Estimated section contains errors

Vegas Here I Come!

I was concerned when the State forms wouldn't pull up. I clicked on help, typed in the problem and the answer was there. WHEW! Restarted TurboTax and all went well after that.
