Simple and easy, as usual, took no time at all

Doing taxes with TurboTax gets easier every year. One minor glitch mentioned in "Cons", you can't be perfect, yet! But an audit before tax was electronically filed caught the missing information. A simple X in a box and the problem was fixed!
What's great about it: Downloading information is a real timesaver
What's not so great: Investment forms wanted name/address info, did not get automatically done.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Very simple to use, asks all questions, All one needs to do is answer honestly and press send!

I had to contact customer service. I had problems downloading tax forms. Your customer staff was great, she help me with my problem. I can't say enough about her as she work me through my problems. She was excellent.
What's great about it: Directions were easy to follow.
What's not so great: The downloading of tax forms. Location of problems.

I am not close to anything you would call a a computer geek guy!! If I can use this and if I think it was easy to use then believe me it was!!!
What's great about it: The guide was so easy to understand and use!!
What's not so great: I cant really think of any cons at all - we love it!!

Costs add up

multi states and efiling for a family and turbo tax adds up to a lot. Hardly worth it except for ease of use.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Multi-states/efiles=$$$$$$$$

Form Revision May Be Required

Form 1099-DIV Worksheet does not provide for State Allocation of Tax Exempt Dividends as does Form 1099-INT Worksheet for Tax Exempt Interest. Some Municpal Bond Mutual Funds require extracting the dividend paid on assets invested for the resident's State for exemption by that State. That amount is not the same as the Tax Exempt Dividends reported on Line 10 of the 1099-DIV for Federal Tax exemption but usually only a portion thereof.
What's great about it: Form Navigation Relatively Easy
What's not so great: Provision For Tax Exempt Dividend State Allocation

This is my third year of using Turbo Tax and I will continue to use it in the future. I would recommend to anyone.
