Another year filling my taxes with Turbo Tax. Great product like always I have come to expect!
What's great about it: Ease of use and flexible for the power user.
What's not so great: None.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall, Turbo Tax is OK. I like being able to do it myself. However, the state return are never correct and the states always correct them and my refunds are always lower. ????
What's great about it: the questions make the forms easy to fill out

TurboTax's wizard is easy to use and ofter understand. Following from beginning to end is very easy for most of the things that apply to me. What's not quite as intuitive is to go back and find a specific section to review the data and change it. Some is straight forward others is a hide-n-seek game for tax professionals.
Regardless I love the import of previous returns and that makes the next year so much easier. Would be nice if there was a bit more of guidance regarding typical tax savings opportunities based on the provided data.
What's great about it: Overall easy to use.
What's not so great: Somewhat hard to find stuff off the guided path.

I've used Turbo Tax for 5 years and rely on it now.
I wish the state filing was free like the Federal return.

Great step-by-step

I have been using TurboTax for over 10 years and really like the program. I love how it takes you through the deductions step-by-step, then picks out other deductions you might qualify for during the review. I also love the audit risk assessment.
This year was my first year adding in a mortgage. While the deduction section was helpful, I still spent many hours searching paperwork and looking things up in the help section. I wish that section was more detailed since there are deductions that might not show up on the 1098 from the mortgage company. For example, it would have been nice if it asked for the 1098 values, then asked for any amounts not reported on the 1098 that would count for deductions.
Overall a great product, but would love to see a side-by-side comparison with taxes done by a tax professional.
What's great about it: Love the audit risk assessment and the detailed deductions
What's not so great: Needs live-chat, not just community forum

Love TurboTax Every Year!

I've been using TurboTax since 2007 and I love it better each year. It gets easier and easier to use without missing any important deductions. It saves me hours of time and hundreds of dollars in filing and prep fees. I'm busy working at work and working at home and TurboTax gets my taxes done more accurately, quickly and beneficially than any other software or accountant I've used. I love it!
What's great about it: Easy, Accurate and Fast!
What's not so great: None - Zilch!

error check difficulty

Had some errors to correct and had difficulty doing so as there were no instructions, I needed to delete some duplications and could not do so by hitting delete, finally just entered zero in all the highlighted boxes and it worked.
What's great about it: loved all the calculations done automatically
What's not so great: error check was difficult to figure
