I have used turbo tax int he pass and fully enjoyed till 2003-2004, I left an d used tax cut up till 2012. My reasons for leaving both are personal but Turbo tax is absolutely the best choice. Easy to under answers for simple folk like me to answers that only a talk lawyer would understand, i feel they have it all! will use again next year! for 2012 taxes in 2013 Turbo tax gets an A++
What's great about it: easy to use, quick help, Free fed e-filing
What's not so great: no biniki models dancing in the margins

Works well

I like that it walks you through all of the modules by asking the questions and I like at the end when it shows you the numbers and compares year over year results. Finally, I like the section where it shows you your potential audit risk.
What's great about it: I use it every year and it's easy to use.
What's not so great: Getting the updates are slow. This is ridiculous that you need a nickname to submit this review and they're all taken.

amended return foms

The goverment does not let you add a child as a dependent if they make over $3,800 a year??? Now my daughter needs to file an amended return so she can take herself as a deduction. I wish this info was available from the beginning.
The amended return button really doesn't do anything except take you to the end of your return and say you are finished and the return has been filed.
My daughter received an email that her return was accepted, but, we still cannot get to the forms to amend it.
What's great about it: last year's info was loaded
What's not so great: I need to file an amended return and Turbo Tax keeps going to the end of my return and saying "congrats" taxes Done!

You're great, but...

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years. The user interface has gotten better and better; however, when you are navigating to the next income or deductions topic, you have to scroll to the bottom of the list each time -- maintain state and show where you are. I can scroll back up if I want to.
What's great about it: I like the simple, step by step instructions
What's not so great: In both income nad deductions, I don't like that you have to scroll to the bottom each time to select the next step

My tax situation is relatively uncomplicated. I just have the standard Mortgage, Donation, State Tax Deductions.
