I liked the fact that the step by step instructions were clear and there were always explanations to everything. But sometimes I worried about when something would show up, such as capital loss carryforwards. However, it did show up so I was a happy camper. Perhaps I will get more comfortable with the process after doing it for a few more years. This is only my 3rd year. It was easier this year than last.
What's great about it: Clear step by step, lots of explanations to questions
What's not so great: Never sure when a certain specific item will show up

Once you finish a section you should not have to go through the menu selection again. Also, in trying to print, message kept coming up "Need Adobe Reader" I have that download, and this message prevented me from printing the return.

Better than a professional. Walks you through. It is so easy and fast, plus it files for you or lets you print and mail!

Have problem with e-file. Charged me for e-file for MA state return but didn't file. Had to submit return by mail.

Easy, Easy, Easy

This is so easy, if your income is straightforward and no unusual deductions, I can't imagine paying a tax preparer to do my return. This is the 5th year i have used Turbo Tax, so very easy. I just wish they would gather all the documentation I needed and have it ready for me. That is the hardest part for me, gathering all of the correct paperwok.

I have used TurboTax for years and keep returning because I am satisfied with the ease and accuracy of the software.
What's great about it: Carryover information from last makes it easy to use again.
What's not so great: We have a lot of charitable contributions that would be easier to enter if they were organized in an alphabetical list.

Easily Done

I have been using Turbo Tax for a few years now and it is so much easier than having to gather up items and take somewhere to find that you don't have all of your paperwork, so you have to go and search for it and then make another trip to try and complete your taxes. For me it is just easier, since I am in a wheelchair, I have everything at my fingertips.
