I went through the steps and realized I'd put information in for consulting when I actually should have input that information under the Teacher section and I did, so it calculated and was wrong.. Now I have to go back and redo it.
When I filed to do an extension it asked for an estimate on what to pay. I put an estimate in, and when I went back to the tax prep that number appeared in the box as what I owed even when it was incorrect.

All in all, cheaper than a CPA and not difficult to use.
What's great about it: Love the walk through, step by step is very helpful along with the explanation.ions
What's not so great: Having no tax knowledge, filing an extension and having it request a payment estmiate.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Excellent tax preparation software

I have used TurboTax since 1998, for my tax returns both personal and for my business (I was a General Building Contractor) I am in the process of closing my business (retiring), and yet I found all the questions I had answered,seemingly automatically. Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price.
What's great about it: Very clearly organized, Easy to follow each step.
What's not so great: You should post the additional price more clearly, and sooner.

Like having a Pro do my return

Being retired, we have several sources of income plus income from a small craft/hobby my wife has. TurboTax walks me through the entire process and I can spend more time double checking my entries and making sure I have gathered all information related to my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions and thorough
What's not so great: NONE

Great step by step instructions

The most difficult part is gathering your personal tax information. Once this is done, Turbo Tax makes it so easy to just plug in the numbers and get results so quickly.
What's great about it: Had to file in two states and appreciated all the help/instructions

I have used Turbo Tax for for 20+ years. I have not had any problems. I enjoy doing my own taxes so I know exactly what we pay.. In prior yers, I have used Turbo Tax for small business and rental properties.

Turboed MY taxes

Year number 4 for Turbotax and it just doesn't get any easier!
Had trouble entering the deduction software as I did not have the password and did not have email access on this computer. It should not be that difficult!
What's great about it: asks just the right questions, very understandable
What's not so great: deductible software should not be login password protacted

Love TurboTax!

I have used TurboTax for several years and I don't know why I waited so long. All I have to do is plug in the information and all the figuring is done for me. Also, I feel confident that everything is done accurately. Cannot imagine using anything but TurboTax!
What's great about it: Easy, fast and makes filing taxes, if not actually fun, at least not such a hassle.
What's not so great: Wish the state did not cost anything to e-file.
