Unhappy Camper

TurboTax used to be so much easier - or more helpful, perhaps - than the current version. In short, the program always provided ample, detailed and easy to digest information and/or explanations so that I could more readily understand any question or issue in preparing my return. Not the case any longer... and probably because they want you to "upgrade" for more assistance. I'll be looking for an alternative service next year, for sure.
What's great about it: The software basically worked
What's not so great: Not enough help to decipher tax rules & reg's
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Awesome Refunds from TurboTax!

To be honest,it was my first time doing TurboTax and I as a little skeptical. I had no idea how fast and easy the whole process was,it seemed as if they covered every corner to give me the best refund. Within 30 minutes I had filed my taxes, fully confident that I have gotten the best refund possible. THANKS A BUNCH TURBOTAX!
What's great about it: Quick,easy, and very helpful
What's not so great: nothing!

Ease and Painless way to do Taxes

I have always gotten turbo tax to do my own taxes all the information from prior year is there and it makes it very easy to go through. I support turbo tax 100%

Tax Review the Easy Way

The audit risk at the end was a great way to check for errors. I found an area on my return that was creating a high audit risk and I corrected it thanks to Turbo Tax. After the correction, I had a low audit risk and felt confident with my return. I was comfortable with the results being accurate and ready for submission.
What's great about it: easy to find credits and compare my return to last year's results
What's not so great: would have liked a better walk-through regarding my tax impact for the refinance of my home

dissapointed with state

I had a hard time figuring out where to find forms needed for different areas of my taxes. Turbo tax should flag these forms, as I had to call someone to get answer.

2012 Tax Returns

TurboTax 2012 provided a fast and accurate means to complete my Federal and State Tax returns. My tax situation is not easy, as foreign retirement benefits and pension distributions, and U.S. Limited Partnership K-1 Corporation income is involved. Turbotax provided the means and guidance to handle both the domestic and foreign situations with relative ease, Throughout the preparation I had the confidence that TurboTax was properly handling the various worksheets that were required to arrive to my final "hooray, it's done!" finale. I certainly would be unable to be aware of and handle the complexities involved without a tax professional, and then I would worry whether or not the professional would handle things correctly.
Electronic Federal and State submissions went very smoothly and the (single) payment mail-in form and Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts form I needed were printed complete with instructions where and when to send them.
Good work TurboTax!

Amazingly Easy!

Have used turbo tax every year since it was created. It actually makes doing taxes enjoyable, if that's even possible.
