Had only one point that held me up (along with a lot of other people) regarding what seemed like having to take a distribution from a pension. Somehow 'if the box is not checked' needs to be clearer and not in the same area as an IRA distribution.
What's great about it: I've used TurboTax for years because it is easy to use & I trust the results.
What's not so great: Couldn't understand having to take a 'withdrawal' from a pension .

Very User Friendly

Turbo Tax is extremely user friendly, the most common questions are addressed, and explained without too many mind numbing federal tax law details. Helps you to know what to claim, and when to move on.
What's great about it: informative, yet not overwhelming with too many details

So many senior citizens spend LOTS seeking help with their taxes but don't have to. Our tax advisor died 4 tax seasons ago so we decided to try TurboTax. It was a pleasant and an easy experience and we've been using the deluxe edition each year since. We did argue a few times but, since we've been together a lot longer than Turbo Tax has been around, that's only natural! This is NOT a hard program to learn and our computer stores everything for next time.
What's great about it: SO easy! Each step identifies whether or not this step applies to you.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

The only game in town could be better

This is about the only tax prep software left, so I have to use it, but I wish it were better for higher-income people with more complicated returns. Some of us do prepare our own taxes!
What's great about it: Download of info from financial institutions
What's not so great: Some more complicated things still not clear enough

An excellent job of minimizing my taxes

Though I did end up having to pay taxes, TurboTax did help me find the minimum tax payments. Having it show me how my tax burden was being reduced as I entered the data was very comforting.
What's great about it: I liked the EasyGuide feature in helping me along the way
What's not so great: Nothing

Straight Forward

I have foreign earned income so with TT I was able to not only make sure I don't have taxes, but also carry over the extra deductions and donations I made from previous years that I didn't use, so that's awesome. Efile kicks butt, but you have to pay for the State one.
What's great about it: Helped find all the special circumstances easily
What's not so great: extra cost to efile state

An Easy Process Once Again

I've been using TurboTax for years and I keep returning to it. Tax time is no longer troubling for me and I'm confident that the software is keeping me out of trouble. As long as you have all your numbers and forms in front of you, your taxes are pretty done.
What's great about it: Removes all the guess work
What's not so great: Bummer paying for e-filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbo Tax for the last 10 years and I love that it catches any mistakes I may make and points out all deductions even one I didn't know I could use. I recommend this product to all my friends and wouldn't use any other program.
What's great about it: Easy to use and enter info and done in 1 day!
What's not so great: None at this time
