liked the way when I had questions, someone was there to quickly help me. hate those help desks in the Phillipines, India, Kenya, and who knows where else one is routed. they may speak good English, but can't "plain talk" in our idioms and stuff..thanks..now the old fingers are crossed that I didn't screw up anything.
What's great about it: like the simple walk throughs
What's not so great: too bad my old computer is so slow..not a hit on the package

Happy with TT

Have used TT for years. Like the It's Deductible part as I had lots of deductions this year to charitable donations as we're moving across country and we've donated lots of items. Would like more items in It's Deductible. Especially holiday items.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
What's not so great: Need more item selections in It's Deductible

Turbo Tax is a blessing - organizes your info automatically; gets you through the whole process quicker; and no math errors!
What's great about it: Entries & calculations much easier than by hand
What's not so great: Sometimes I confuse myself going from section to section

I have used the program for years, and it has shortened my tax preparation time essentially to that of gathering my records. The data comes easily from prior years, and the current year is easily stored and filed. I have never had an issue with the bottom line computations. It has also helped in some complex tax situations.
The major problem is it is difficult to find which methods the program is using for particular computation. For example, I can never tell how close I am to incurring the AMT.

What's great about it: Data transmission from prior years, and rapid access to real forms.
What's not so great: Difficullt to trace calculations that the program is using. e.g. how close am I to AMT tax addition?

Been using Turbo Tax since they first came out with it. Great product!
What's great about it: Very Easy to use and much quicker than looking everything up in an IRS booklet
What's not so great: Sometime for misc obscure deductions you have to look for them

Been using TurboTax for 7 years

I have used Turbo Tax for 7 years now and I love it. It is easy to use and if you use their interview system it just like going to your accountant because they will ask you the same questions and charge 3 times as much. I own my own business and I have not had any situation that Turbo Tax could not handle. I will use it again next year!
What's great about it: It is easy to use.
What's not so great: Sometimes it is hard to go back to an area to change or add things.
