What a difference!

I went to HR Block and they told me I didn't qualify for the American Opportunity Credit because it had been discontinued at the end of 2012. This didn't seem right to me because I had gone to school for the entire 2012 year, so I took my information back and got TurboTax. With it I was able to claim my American Opportunity Credit and more than double my refund. I will never spend hundreds of dollars to get my taxes done by a 'professional' again!
What's great about it: Inexpensive and easy to use!

Yearly Peace-of-Mind!

I have used TurboTax for many, many years now. I have NEVER had a problem. If you keep good records all year long and put "tax" stuff in a folder all year doing your taxes with TurboTax is literally a breeze. It's not even "work" to me. It's actually fun since we make sure we get a refund each and every year. I cannot recomment TurboTax enough. I'm a lifetime user.... guaranteed!
What's great about it: VERY reliable and fast!!
What's not so great: My wife won't do them ;-)

Got it done, despite no warning for Mac users

I just about had a heart attack when I realized that the 2012 version wouldn't install on my 32-bit iMac. NO WARNING from TurboTax either. Very frustrating!!! Luckily my laptops are 64-bit machines. Very bad experience to start off, but once I got it installed on my Macbook Pro all was well as usual. Very easy to use and file.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Wasn't warned that the 2012 TurboTax wouldn't install on 32-bit mac.

I have been using Turbo Tax for about 5 years now and like the way it walks you through the process, help is always available if needed. I recommend Turbo Tax to anyone considering doing their own tax's.

First time on a Mac!

I used another tax software for years. I finally switched my home computer from a PC to a Mac and was disappointed to find my previous solution was not available on a Mac. Too bad for them. Now I've got TurboTax on my Mac! Nice.

As with ever year, the improvements are both functional and were needed. I have been using Turbo Tax since the early 90's. I plan on using Turbo Tax next year.

What's not so great: Miss the old e-books that help explain the more complicated details.
