Easy Process

I did not think filing my return for 2012 would be so easy. I had some partnerships and thought that there would be some problems. Turbo Tax handled every entry with ease.
What's great about it: Easy entry of information

awesome accountant help

Extra questions and forms were coming up that didn't apply to my situation when reviewing vehicle business expenses. I went to the Turbo Tax website, recorded my problem, got a telephone number and eventually an accountant spoke to me. My computer was running slowly at the time (of course) and he was so patient, answering all of my questions. He also made sure that no more errors were showing before he got off the phone. Great knowledge and great help. Worried I was going to have to see an accountant after purchasing Turbo Tax, but turned out great instead.
What's great about it: after going to the website to address a problem, it led me to speak to an accountant who answered all questions
What's not so great: waiting on hold for quite a while

Turbo Tax 2013

We had our taxes prepared by a CPA for many years prior to tryng Turbo Tax. The program is easy to use and contains all the helpful detailed explanations needed to prepare an accurate return quickly and affordably.
What's great about it: Informative, fast and convenient

Great help on my questions

The process is fairly straight forward, but if you trying to do something for the first time you can get lost in the jargon. I only try to speak Tax once a year and the terms can get confusing. ( Are qualified contributions to an IRA the same or opposite to a already after tax contribution to an employee savings plan once it has been rolled over?) I know that you can't control the proliferation of terms but a dictionary of terms and abbreviations would help.
My life style change this year was to rollover my employee savings account to my IRA and begin drawing the minimum mandatory disbursements.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions and path
What's not so great: E-file Fed and Mail State is messy
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

USING TURBO TAX GIVES YOU AN EDUCATION ON TAXES WHILE YOU'RE DOING THEM...AND IT'S IMPORTANT FOR EVERY TAXPAYER TO KNOW THE PROCESS BECAUSE IT WILL HELP GUIDE YOUR ACTIONS DURING THE TAX YEAR.
