there are some bugs

This edition was the most difficult I have utilized since 2006. There are a few bugs, such as when downloading the State, it kept sending me in circles after asking me if I wanted to review...asking me to download...asking me to review....asking me to download...etc. The federal version pulled my return back up after a break and it had me listed as my own dependent, and I was given the dependent worksheet to complete for myself. It also listed my 1099-R as one of the other versions (1099-RCF?) and kept prompting me to complete the questions related to that document. It would be nice if you had a method to get out of a cycle easily. I had to go back all the way through to see what the problem was and finally found it on the view of the form itself, the wrong box being checked. I didn't even know those other versions existed, and was not asked to check which of those I received. After I changed the box selected, then I was sent back to the right cycle that I had finished before my break. Maybe I had bugs in my disc, but I was eventually able to get it all corrected accurately. but I double-checked and triple-checked before submitting by e-file.
What's great about it: no computations
What's not so great: forms completed that I did not know about, found them the next time I pulled the return up after saving

Great Software

This is great tax software. I have been using it forever. It's fast, easy and accurate. ItsDeductible is a big bonus.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Accurate, Fast
What's not so great: ItsDeductible doesn't have some more common items

Practically Painless

I've been using TurboTax for years, and this was the easiest return I've filed yet. The interface is intuitive and walked me through new-to-me parts of the tax code in relatively short order. The only drawback I found was that it kept trying to get me to file a state return, even after it recognized that I had no need for one. Even then, I had a good laugh, then continued on through the process to file my return. Took less than 3 hours, even with installation and updates ( on a relatively slow internet connection), to get the whole thing done!
What's great about it: Intuitive interface
What's not so great: Kept pitching the state return, which doesn't apply to me
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Thorough and flexible

The flexible interview-style format inspires confidence. Hands-on review of forms is easy at any point. Those new to Turbo-Tax will probably want to use easy-step. Explanatory information on tax rules has always been close at hand. I've felt like I can drill down as far as I need.
What's great about it: Can find my way in any order. Bases all covered.Transparent.
What's not so great: Context-sensitive help can always be better.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
