Taxing time made untaxing!

Overall, very good and intuitive tax preparation. A little bit heavy on the "add this review, upgrade to the next level, etc." but overall still good.
What's great about it: The "walk through guides"
What's not so great: File storage locations are not easily controllable! Also, a "false start" will create a file that is difficult to delet

I have used Turbo tax for over ten years. Love it..Its save me a lot of money over the years. I find it simple and to the point. Some time I have to go back and recheck my data. That's what I like about it.
What's great about it: I start my return early and can finish it when ever I want too. After I have check all my data.
What's not so great: It was somewhat difficult to go to the ask question page and back to turbo tax

Better every year!

Been doing my taxes for my whole life. Every year, TurboTax gets easier, quicker, and more intuitive. Completely covers all my situations. Answers questions about any step if asked. Glad it automatically updates when I open it because who can trust the IRS these days.

Great Product

The only thing that I don't understand is the ads that I see that claims TurboTax is free with free filing. I purchase it every year. Am I doing wrong?

Excellent & Knowedgeable Support Staff

Sch K-1 (form 1065), Sch K-1 (Form 1120 S), Sch K-1 Worksheet produced errors. No K-1 needed for tax year 2012. K-1 info must have come across from last year's TT since I had K-1 data for 2011. This bug needs to be fixed. Had to call in to get these forms/worksheets removed from my return. Staff person was very sharp. After her analysis she deduced the way to get these forms/worksheets removed. All is now OK!
What's great about it: Personal telephone help was excellent
What's not so great: TurboTax bug in auto entering last years data
Pros: I bought or sold investments

4 1/2 Stars - TT Makes it All Pretty Easy

We have a moderately complicated tax return (lots of deductions to track), and TurboTax makes it easy for me to prepare and file year after year. One of the biggest timesavers is how it saves data from previous years to help with the current year return. When I got a new computer, it took a little bit of searching to find out how to transfer the data, but it is worth it to have all the information in one place. The product is somewhat expensive (especially with the state e-filing fee added on), but you can't beat the convenience and accuracy. I do have a suggestion - TurboTax needs to add the ability to password protect the files.
What's great about it: Use of prior years' information, step-by-step instructions
What's not so great: Hard to find out how to transfer data to new computer; lack of password protection
