Must be pretty good, I have been using it for at least 10 years.
What's great about it: Somehow I muddled thru and Turbo Tax got me finished again
What's not so great: Hard to jump from forms and back to where you left off with step by step

Another brilliant product front Intuit. User friendly, intuitive, gives me confidence I am doing it right and reporting correctly. Fun, in a weird kind of way!

Fairly good, a few glitches

I've used TurboTax for years, so I know what to expect. No surprises. Most of the bells and whistles aren't important to me. I've continued to have problems with the reporting of my 401K contribution, so much so that I file our firm's K-1 rather than try to make the TurboTax version of the K-1 work.
The "It's Deductible" sub-program is helpful in listing charitable contributions, sort of. But when we make in-kind donations, it is pretty clunky when I try to find the particular item on their lists.
Overall, TurboTax is predictable and works pretty well.

What's great about it: I know what forms I use from year to year, so I just fill in the appropriate forms

A great program. One thing. On the state return, the system asks you if you 'paid a tax'. It should ask did you pay any 'federal taxes or state taxes'.
Being retired military, I like questions that are easy and direct to the point and not leaving it to interpretation.
I am concluding the question 'assumed' state tax was paid, as you are working on the state tax section.
That's it!!!
What's great about it: Easy to use. Goes through all the steps as you enter information
What's not so great: One question needs to be re-written for better clarity.
