Using for years, makes it as easy (as possible...)

TurboTax is an old standby and does a good job overall. The recent changes to investment capital gains is inconvenient if one has data to enter by hand (individual "cards", not a table) but, of course, much is available via download these days. The "cards" are also likely a consequence of tax law changes and so neither a "feature" nor a "bug".
What's great about it: Almost on autopilot doing this...
What's not so great: Have to trust it's right; investment entry is now difficult.

Wonderful until the end :~(

You are required to download updates to e-file but the program will not download updates so if you are purchasing this so that you can exile, choose another software program...
What's great about it: Easy to understand and follow
What's not so great: You get to the end and you can not e-file until you download updates.

consist solid understandable menus

Every year I have to go to the form version when I want to list my SEP IRA contribution. For some reason it does not come up on the step by step
What's great about it: the walk through is good and if you want to use forms easy to do so
What's not so great: the walk through version makes it difficult to list SEP IRA contriibutions

I intend to sell my royalty trust funds now -- I only had some as a spinoff from some other investment so no real damage done.
What's great about it: handling finanal downloads

Easy to use

I am an older adult and don't know too much about the computer but this turbo tax is ease to use even for me. I t gives you step by step help so I feel very good about it being correct when I finish.
What's great about it: Very good guestions

Over all, it was easy to do my taxes this year. The program has improved over the years.
What's great about it: Less confusing than previous years.
What's not so great: Printing state form for mail filing was not specific enough.
