Ease of use across several years.

Excellent, easy to use and apparently very thorough!
My biggest concern is that I may have missed something OR the program screwed something up. Yet after me reviews I could not find anything....
What's great about it: Imports from previous years returns. This includes various yaerly carryovers! It is a great simplification!
What's not so great: Almost too easy. While I did a couple of reviews of the final results, I'm never certain what I missed.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

turbo tax rocks!

I use TT every year, and it is always great. I had to call to finalize my filing and the operator was really helpful.

Great job on estimated taxes

I was very pleased with the results from this year. Federal tax refund was $1... just can't get any closer than that. State tax refund was $17... because I used the estimated tax payments from last year.
What's great about it: easy to do a complete and propoer filing. Estimates from last year for this years taxes were spot on
What's not so great: none

Did it again!

I have used turbotax for many years and it makes doing taxes easier with it's step by step instructions, explanations of what each item is or means, helps make sure you don't miss anything and checks your accuracy.
What's great about it: Guided through each section, explanations for each item, checks for missed items and accruacy
What's not so great: Local taxes section was confusing

Easy

It's very easy to use and I had no problem with it. I like that it automatically updates some files and double-checks everything. Since I'm clueless about taxes, this makes the process simple and painless.
What's great about it: Led me through everything quickly and simply.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.

Fairly easy to amend

Why would TT start a person out owing money on an amended return before the person made any changes at all?
I figured out that the program was not handling prior depreciation correctly and had to override several cells.
Failing to do that would have had me paying more than the top marginal rate on some additional 1099 income.
I knew that could not be right.

Making Tax prep Easy

Once I have collected all my material (the hard part), using Turbo Tax simplified filling out the forms. It asks about a lot of possible sources of income and deductions, many which did not apply to me, but a few which did apply and I had not thought of myself. It does all the calculations needed, so I do not have to check for math errors. Next year it will be even easier since it will automatically list my income sources from this year and I just have to enter the numbers instead of typing in all the source information.
What's great about it: thorough
