Filing taxes made easy

Turbo Tax saves at least a hundred hours of time from the old way of researching all the details of the tax code. Just answer the questions and you'll be done in an hour or two! You can't beat the thorough review of all details and confidence that you've filed correctly!
What's great about it: Comprehensive, easy to use

Outside sales tax return

I have been in outside sales for many years and have used Turbo Tax for most of my returns.
I get an exhaustive list of deductions an always felt my return has secured the largest return for my family.

What's not so great: Took a while
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Helped with tricky issues

Saved me money by clarifying that I could declare a college student as a dependent and how to handle re-financing loan origination fees. I wish it was a little easier to just see the forms filed with the IRS, instead of all the optional worksheets.
What's great about it: helped me decide how to handle a full-time college daughter and a re-financing
What's not so great: sometimes hard to follow what is a worksheet and what is an actual IRS form
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

As I said the only problem I had with Turbo Tax was the e-filing of my Oklahoma Non Resident Taxes. Oklahoma doesn't accept e-file and not all forms were sent.
My general experience with Turbo Tax has been great as a rule and have used this software for several years. I have even converted several family members to using it.

What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions and all forms and updates quick to download.
What's not so great: Only problem I had was my extra state return. Turbo Tax had me e-file Oklahoma, however not all forms were included.
