good, but

TT said I had a 1099-MISC or other withholding that disqualified me from filing my state (HI) return, but TT did not point me to any such w/h entries. I do not believe I had any such disqualifiers and after repeated reviews could not find any in the TT pages. The program should be fixed.
What's great about it: TT does a lot of work for me, esp. w/ stocks and other investments
What's not so great: couldn't file state return & couldn't locate entry TT says was the disqualifier

Perfect guidance to tax refund

I have been using Turbo tax for the past 13 years. I gain confidence each year as I review and complete my taxes. Although I feel that my tax situation is not complicated, I use the Deluxe version vs. the Basic to assure me that I am taking full advantage of any new tax laws that could apply to my situation.
What's great about it: Easy step by step instruction

I've purchased the TurboTax Deluxe Fed with free State for 10+ years and always get sizable refunds, have never been audited and feel confident that an audit would go well.
What's great about it: You can walk through everything or skip as you like
What's not so great: None

Great way to beat the $$$ cost of going to a tax preparer and cant believe how easy Turbo Tax is to use. Also, if you get stuck, you can turn to the online community to help you resolve your issue. Would highly recommend Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: The walk you through guides makes Turbo Tax so easy to use

Works For Me

I work outside the country and usually don't have to pay taxes, but I still have to file a return. Turbo Tax handled taxes on my wife's house out of the country, plus various health and vision expenses while in country.
Turbo Tax does every thing I need without unnecessary ado.

User Friendly TurboTax

Everyone should be both familiar with and understand their taxes. By passing their tax data to 'professional' tax handlers, they become less informed. TurboTax is the vehicle for becoming better acquainted with ones own taxes; and, understanding taxes. All the resources are readily available.
What's great about it: Straight-forward and easy to follow

Not sure if it was the TT cd or my computer. I had to load it on another disc to print it out.

Ugh, My accountant died last year in March and I was left scrambling to find a new accountant. The one I found made an error, luckily in my favor ( IRS found it and returned money to us. Turbo Tax was suggested and I tried it. Wow, a little intimidating but as I moved through the process, my confidence increased and the process became simple
What's great about it: ease of use overall
What's not so great: some deductions are listed different from IRS forms
