SUPPORT HELP ONLY FAIR

I realize that covering a complex subject like tax returns can be difficult, but the idea of live support is advertised as a positive, in actuality it doesn't do the job. Anything out of the ordinary, seems to stump the"experts".
What's great about it: Range of coverage is quite good
What's not so great: Chat and phone support weak

Makes it simple

I've used Turbo Tax Deluxe for years & it works very well. It's easy to import pertinent personal information from the previous year's return plus being able to import data from Quicken & 1099s from financial institutions simplifies the preparation & minimizes the chance for errors. I just wish I could download our 1099s from our respective retirment systems.
What's great about it: The ability to import 1099s

I would take my taxes to an accountant years ago, I filed the basic 1040 EZ Form, and the accountant would charge me $140.00 and he used the same program as Turbo tax, the accountant would ask me the same questions that Turbo Tax asks. From that point on I began using Turbo Tax and did my own taxes, and the efile is simple, and have never made any errors, it's that easy. Just buy the program load it and your taxes are a breeze.
What's great about it: Don't have to use an accountant anymore

Information about errors was terrible. Very hard to understand what was needed for the correction. Need much better information and direction.
One minor irritation: when entering amount for each charitable contribution, do not move the list to the top or the page after each amount is entered. This way the next item will be ready for editing.
