Turbo Tax 2013

Turbo Tax is a great tool to use for simple tax filing. Easy to navigate and understand, and easily done in a short period of time.
What's great about it: Very user friendly, easy to navigate
What's not so great: Some of the explainations are a bit confusing, had to look for more detailed information online

Solid Project for a Dreaded Job

I dread tax time (big surprise, I know). While I've typically resigned myself to doing it by hand, I was encouraged by a friend to try this product. I am quite thankful. I saw my savings go up and my stress go down. Sure, the extra filing fee for state is inconvenient, but to this product's credit it is quite easy to print a state return out and turn it in yourself.
What's great about it: Quick, intuitive, helpful
What's not so great: extra filing fee for state taxes

TSP withholdings section for NJ was confusing. The withholdings are already included in our NJ salary and therefore do not need to be separately included for additional taxation.

Easy To Do Yourself!

I've been using TurboTax for over 10 years now, and continue to be impressed with its ease of use and interface. The import feature from previous returns saves me a lot of time. Online FAQs and support is good too.
What's great about it: Step-by-step instructions; easy to review actual forms; import features
What's not so great: State e-file not included

Review 2012 Turbo Tax

The software was easy to install and was maintained automatically. The "guide Me" was very easy to follow. It allowed me to take deduction i did not previously know about.
What's great about it: Fast, easy, asks you all the questions, organized
What's not so great: Does not tell you what additional information you need to maximize deductions
