Got a refund I would never have gotten on my own!

I used to go the Federal E-Z return route, but using Turbo tax helped me find deductions I hadn't known to look for. I got hundreds of dollars more than I would have on my own.
What's great about it: Easy, clear with good resources to answer questions I had.

Not as happy with the product anymore

I do not like the having to switch back and forth between sections and what has allegedly been completed. Does not handle K-1 properly and does not handle second half of 2010 IRA conversion - there is not necessarily an EIN for the IRA that was converted. Very poor assumption that the only IRAs out there are work sponsored. TT also does not handle Michigan property tax properly still. I got in a lot of trouble last year becase of it - Michigan requires you to enter property taxes assessed during the year only, regardless of when it was paid.
What's not so great: Not for mildly complicated returns anymore.

Fast and Easy

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. It grabs all of my information from last year and takes and hour or two at most to complete my taxes. And, I don't have to double check the math, just that I have entered the numbers correctly. Highly recommended!
What's great about it: Walks you through every step, good detailed explanations.
What's not so great: None.

Choosing to do my own taxes this year was a hard decison to make, but I so made the right one. i knew each and every page and all my important info was safe in my own hands. I was able to choose to make each thing, instead of having someone else choose for me. I plan on telling all my friends about it and plan on helping those less fortunate tha our family to do their taxes with them.
What's great about it: So easy to use.
What's not so great: Didn't have any trouble.

Failed to take a MRD and I became lost on reporting. Cheers to your support, however, that once I got to talk with a human actually 2 humans--they put me on the right track. I just e-filed, but will probably have to use another of your features, the amended return, to correct my under payment which once got away from me because of the RMD.
What's great about it: It takes you by the hand or lets you plunge in by yourself
What's not so great: this year-2912's return- was more confusing and left me at dead ends a couple times

Overall it was great, and I was glad to have it available.
What's great about it: I liked the ability to download from brokerage accts.
What's not so great: Had a problem loacting the asset sales for a condo, even tho I followed the help dirctions.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

It is a great program. it should keep a central system of the old returns. i was not able to pull my old return because I sold my old computer.

Great program, easy to use.
What's great about it: had to file multiple state returns and it was made easy
What's not so great: State programs a little high cost. Nice if they were a little lower
