I like the automatic updates.
This year was the poorest experience I have had with Turbo Tax in several years. When I saved my file and the resumed work at a later time I was not taken back to the place where I quit. I had to go through screens that I had previously completed to arrive at the location where I quit.
I paid extra to file my Illinois return and was not able to do so as both of my returns were rejected. I believe this was because the number that was entered on line 21 of my 1040 was a combination of numbers and the information you gave me said that you have a problem and don't know when it will be fixed. My state return was rejected because the federal return was rejected. My opinion is that this is a poor way to do business as I now have to mail my returns.
While I was entering my information into Turbo Tax I had to manually scroll down to the bottom most pages to move forward to the next item. This seems to be a change from prior years.
Overall, this version of Turbo Tax seemed less well thought out and rushed to completion. I am not sure how many years I have used your software but this seems to be the poorest version to date.

QUICK AND EASY

I have used t Turbo Tax every year for the past 7 years except one. I tried H& R block and did not like it. It was not as user friendly as Turbo Tax. I recommend it to all of my friends and they tell me it is great!
What's great about it: THE UNDERSANTABILITY OF THE PROCESS.
What's not so great: NONE

Honestly, I love Turbo Tax and tell everyone that asks me about taxes that they should use it.
What's great about it: Everything. Always look forward to doing Taxes because of Turbo Tax
What's not so great: None. This program couldn't work any easier.

Excellent Tax Software

Long time user. The number of ads appears to be growing which is too bad. Otherwise, the program is easy to use with clear instructions. Importing data from a previous year saves a lot of time and trouble.
What's great about it: Easy to use, Clear, good help

Peace of Mind...

I use Turbo Tax every year because I am certain that the calculations are right, that the questions are right to make sure my taxes are done right, and the cost is well worth it!
What's great about it: Easy to walk through a difficult duty!
What's not so great: That I have to pay to file my state....

Accurate and great explanations

Great product and makes preparing one's taxes so much easier and definitely more accurate. Love how it completes all the needed forms rather than me guessing which forms I need to complete.
What's great about it: Importing broker year-end statements making data entry easier and accurate; great explanations; logical step-by-step
What's not so great: Did not address charitable contributions outside the US (i.e., Canada)
Pros: I bought or sold investments

First-time winner!

This year I am a first-time Turbo Tax user. My wife and I are both recently retired and have no complicated tax issues other than the usual Social Security, pension, and annuity issues that affect people our age.
I have done my returns for years, literally with pen and paper and expected Turbo Tax to be an episode of "nightmare software".
I was, however, stunned at how easily the Federal and State forms filled in and all were summarized and calculated. In addition, Turbo Tax allowed me to save my return file for days, resume, add a bit, save, resume, add more, etc. before finishing.
I highly recommend Turbo Tax as a way to complete the needlessly complicated "Tax Season".
What's great about it: VERY easy to use. The prompts throughout the forms for further detail and explanations were frequent and very helpful.
What's not so great: Don't really have any large complaints at all. Taxes, by nature and design are complicated.
