Excellent Product!

I have used TurboTax for the last 4 years and absolutely love this software. I don't even consider taking my taxes to overpriced local firms. The software guides you through everything and makes the entire process educational and easy. I recommend it to everyone I talk to.
What's great about it: Ease of use and price

I thought I was getting state free e-file but did not realize till to late. I will mail and not pay more.
What's great about it: Got it done timely.
What's not so great: Software Much slower this year. Steps not as clear as in previous years.

Loosing your Edge

I have been a Turbo Tax users since the 1980's. I am a CPA and a holder of Masters in Tax Law. I keep noticing each year a deterioration of the product along with hidden fees that makes a used car salesman ashamed.
I can see now why other tax product on the market are making a move on Turbo Tax, and I think Turbo Tax should pay close attention to their loyal customer base, and soon.
Every Form I had to fill screamed at me as if the programmer is asking me "Aren't I Great?...See how complicated this form is?.." rather than making it easy to move along and do the work.

What's not so great: Silly fees..No quick access to those with tax knowledge

The Unexpected.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now and every year there are, of course, improvements, but this year's Deluxe Edition was by far the best verison in Turbo Tax history! So fluid, so friendly, so easy to use, so easy to understand. I loved the Easy Guides and within them the brief sentences that allowed me to easily determine what applied to me and what didn't. The unobtrusive and easy to maneuver hot links in this edition were much improved over previous years. I just don't have enough good things to say! I love it more and more every year and this year that grew leaps and bounds. I also enjoyed learning why my refund adjusted; the added explanations post-calculation were refreshing and educational. Thank you so much, Intuit Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: The Easy Guides were phenomenal. The language straightforward and made it easy to understand what applied to me.
What's not so great: NONE

Thorough and Trustworthy

In past years, I have gone to a professional as well as done my taxes myself using a calculator. When my brother introduced me to Turbo Tax, I began to save time and money . Thanks, bro! I have since introduced my daughter and some of my friends to Turbo Tax. It is easy, thorough, accurate and affordable.
What's great about it: Easy, thorough, upload features, e-file feature
What's not so great: Occasionally, there is a glitch the user can't get past without seeking help.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
