I used the step--by-step method that went very well with two exceptions: I was locked in at the end when it required employer and employee addresses and zip codes for a W-2 form that I wasn't issued. Also I had trouble submitting an electronic Federal return and a mailed state return.

Federal and PA Taxes 2012

Overall the directions were easy to follow. I thought this tool tip help links were very useful. I had one situation after I entered the W-2 information where I hit the back button and I lost all of the information that I entered. I went back to my Microsoft roots and saved often and did not have this trouble again. I would like to know whether or not to itemize deductions or a good explanation. It never states this or I missed whether or not the software is calculating this.
What's great about it: Easy to follow directions
What's not so great: Not sure when to itemize and no good explanation

The best turboTax ever

TurboTax is helping you to file your tax very effectively and accurate way. It is very easy to use and yet it also gives you a biggest refund in both Federal and State. I really love this software. In the past, I have used other tax software called TaxCut but there is nothing compares to TurboTax at all. I still remember that I got a lot less refund when I filed with TaxCut. So I would recommend this TurboTax to anyone who wants to get a big refund. Give it a try and see by yourself. I wished I would have known about TurboTax this earlier.
What's great about it: very easy to follow by instructions. Abundent and helpful information
What's not so great: Nothing I can find.

It was so easy

Each year Turbo-Tax has updated the info to make it easy for this 76 year old retired guy to keep his ticker in slow mode operation. How you do it will always be a wonder but just keep up the great work and keep it easy. May you all be Blessed as you continue to provide us with your kind ways and tender pokes to "Do it right".

Refund !!!!

I love that turbotax takes me through all the income and deduction categories which assure me nothing was missed. Also, I like the comments on why I am not eligible for a particular deduction or credit. The "explain this" popup is a really good feature.
What's great about it: Easy step guide through all income and deduction categories
What's not so great: I would like print a page view of some the easy step pages but that is not available.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
