this is my 5th year using TT. I recommend it to everyone because it is easy to use and seems thorough. I always have questions and the "help inserts" usually provide the additional info. The cost is going up and my income is going down so I may not be able to afford it next year.
re cons: I wanted to know if I could claim medical payments made in 2013 for treatments provided in 2012. It guess it doesn't matter since I am not getting a refund, nor do I owe . I wish I could call someone for clarification, though.
What's great about it: thorough, question format, inserted explanations, free state tax
What's not so great: Cost has gone up, unable to get ans. to questions fr help inserts or online group.

Been using Turbo Tax for 14 years and have had no problems, this year using the Audit Defense just in case you never know what the IRS might do.
What's great about it: do at your own pace and time

What's great about it: fairly simple to use
What's not so great: too many verification sections, someone must be getting a bonus for using the"continue" tab.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I had been paying a lot of money for years to get my taxes professionally completed. I was always weary of doing it myself in fear that I would make mistakes. My sister recommended that I try Turbo Tax. She swore to me that it was absolutely "user friendly". She was right! I didn't have anyt problems completing my returns.
What's great about it: The step-by-step instructions made me feel at ease. I didn't have to worry about forgetting to include anything.

Generally a very good program. I've been using it several years and it seems to be improving. The problems I had were in going back into the program after having it closed for a while. It wasn't intuitively easy to find where I was before.
Another problem turned up when it asked about a small payment I got from an insurance company. It told me I had to have an RMD, which was incorrect. I could tell many others had the same issue. I read answers from the "Community", but couldn't tell which was right or what answer to put in the box. It appeared that I would have to pay TT for an upgrade in order to get the answer.
What's great about it: Saves time

Great Tax package

I have used Turbo tax for quite a few years and would not use any other tax package. I like the fact that it imports all the information from the prior year. Less keyboarding means less time and less mistakes.
What's great about it: Guide is great along with calculations that are accurate. It used to be a big headache and take lots of time.
What's not so great: Helps with determining if it is worthwhile to go thru a deduction. I went thru a casualty loss form that I coudln't use
