I like turbotax, but it has many errors when inserting and calculating home business expenses. I'm sick of tracking down and correcting errors it finds, that are described in "tax jargon." That's not what I'm paying for....
What's great about it: Fast ish, easy
What's not so great: Makes errors in inserting business vehicle and other business details, year after year

1099 R advisory

Great program overall. Have been using it for years. Would like it to enable annotation on the 1040. Cannot efile because I need to indicate some write ins on the 1040.
What's great about it: Good prompts, easy toggles to forms and help
What's not so great: Had some 1099 R (rollovers). When entered I needed to label them "rollover" on 1040, but prog did not allow.

always use this software and have great results. I even went to an accounting firm to double check the results and they had no changes from what I had filed using this software. I am always confident that the return is accurate.
What's great about it: Able to prepare taxes quickly & accurately

Had an untitled K1 not on federal list but on CA list, couldn't figure out how to get rid of it

Long Time Turbo Tax User

My husband and I have been using 10 years and have never experienced any problem filing or with our returns. Our extended family all also use the product and have for several years as well. We find it easy to follow along and very intuitive to use. We feel confident that our returns are done correctly, accurately and represent the latest tax code. We appreciate Turbo Tax helping us safely file our taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to follow and walk through completing tax work. Peace of mind that everything is covered and errors are eliminated.
