Fan tax tic

I would not consider using anything else. I recommend Turbo Tax to any do it your self tax filer.
What's great about it: Simple to use. Detailed workflow. Comprehensive.
What's not so great: Although obviously necessary, frequent updates were tiny bit annoying
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Because of a change in income, I had some new forms to deal with. Turbo tax helped guide me through the process of putting that information in the right place. I like the "learn more" features to answer the questions that I had because of the changes I had to deal with this year.
What's great about it: It asked easy to understand questions to help me use the new information that I had fit into the form.
What's not so great: The state form isn't as easy to fill out as the federal form.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Hate doing my taxes, but TurboTax helps ease the process. Fifth year I've used it and it's been smoother than completing those forms on my own. Did that for years and it took so much time.
What's great about it: Clear and calming
What's not so great: printout is a bit confusing

Once I got the "hang" of it ...

Once I got the "hang" of it, it moved along very nicely; however, I wasted a lot of time trying to complete information for the 3 entities I considered my "employers" since they provided my income. Once I realized my "employers" are actually "retirement benefactors," the entire process moved along much better. Possibly, if someone states right up front (as I did) that they're "retired," the program could pull up retirement benefactors FIRST. Just a thought!
Otherwise, I loved it! Thanks!
