Turbo Tax Is Very Helpful

I use TurboTax every year and it is very easy to use. Very helpful in getting everything covered. However, I wish some form of TurboTax would do 501c3 non-profit taxes ie Form 990.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: I wish it did non-profit 501c3 organizations

Uncle Sam Wins Again

It is a shame that our tax system is so complicated and some people have to get professional help. Turbo Tax has made it possible for us and others to bypass the professionals and file on our own. This program has worked for us for over 8 years or more and the fact that it picks up the prior years information and includes it in the calculations for 2012 is great. I feel confident that our returns will pass muster with the folks at the IRS.
What's great about it: The process moved well and we understood the info needed.
What's not so great: We had to give a zip code for W2 forms but had no W2 forms.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I am very pleased with the ease of use and thoroughness of TurboTax. I will buy it again next year. Had a slight technical problem that was never addressed to my satisfaction: Did 2011 using Turbo Tax on previous computer (Windows XP) Installed 2012 on new computer(Windows 7) Was unable to transfer data files between machines so had to fill in personal information from scratch - a slight inconvenience.

This year I bought the competition's brand (TaxCut) and it left me at a dead end near the end of the interview process. It also said that I owed my State $1,500!
I then bought TurboTax and entered all the exact same figures into it and I'm getting a refund from my State! Thanks TurboTax for making tax software that doesn't leave the user stranded. I very much appreciate the refund too. ; )
What's great about it: Program was very easy to use.

I have been a user of Turbo Tax for 20 plus years and have always depended on it giving me the best information for deductions. I have used the program for my entire immediate family and have always found it to be top notch in giving me the return information necessary for the highest refund possible.
What's great about it: takes you through all possible deductions
What's not so great: Every year it seems the format changes
