Used for 8 years, and it just gets easier. Found deductions that my CPA missed. Can pick and choose what areas effect my taxes and save even more time.

Good product

All in all very good. Had a special situation I had to find a way around, but that is just because Turbo Tax is designed to keep most people from making a mistake. Just had to put some stuff in manually, but other than that it went well. Again.
What's great about it: Almost foolproof
What's not so great: Special situations can be tricky

The thing I've always like about Turbo Tax (User since 2004# is the fact that it takes the worry about what happens with your numbers once you take them from the W2 and 1099's. Having done taxes manually my biggest worry was getting the right values from the tax tables and being sure I had all the right forms. I've believed that the cost of Turbo Tax is money well spent on an other wise taxing #pardon the pun) and gruelling process we all have to do once a year.
Thanks Turbo Tax team for a well organized interface and compliance assurance for the non-tax professionals like me that just want to get this "out of our hair" and done with reasonable assurance it's done right.

What's great about it: Thorough and useful progress wizard
What's not so great: Bypass for deductions process if you know you're taking the standard deduction

Frustrated

On a Mac, if your return is complex, you have to force-quit each time rather than using regular quit. The software has been that way for many years. It's rather frustrating, especially when you have to go back to the beginning of the return after force-quitting. Otherwise, the software is very dependable.
What's great about it: TurboTax is very easy to use and gets better each year
What's not so great: This year, the updates didn't download properly. Had to keep deleting the software and reinstalling it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Like Turbo Tax

This is the second time I have used Turbo Tax. I wish it would update each year so I wouldn't have to purchase a new disc every year. I don't mind the fee, just the inconvenience of having to go purchase it every year.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
